Hi there! So what is “The Outbreak?” It’s a movement, a contagious expression of the love of God, a reaction to help those who are in need of food, clothes, and other resources.

Mission
Well, it’s pretty simple…our desire is to help others, by spreading the love of God. We believe it is our responsibility to “break out and infect the world through the power of Christ (Matthew 28:19).” We live in a world in which countless amounts of people need help; so no matter what the circumstances may be, we have an opportunity to change someone’s life with humble helping hands.

We are not doing this for the money, or to get our name out there, we believe that God will supply that. This movement isn’t even about us, but about the power of God. This movement is about helping others by serving God. We are all young people who desire to share the love of Christ. Our love God, is seen in our love for others.

We are all young people, who want to create opportunities for other young people from all walks of life to make a change in their lives, in their communities, to meet new people, to establish new relationships, and most of all to discover the awesome love of God.

Food Drive

What’s the problem we are trying to solve?

We are making efforts to solve the problem of poverty. Right now, we are living in times in which many people are struggling. Struggling to provide for their families, struggling to keep their homes, and struggling to put food on the table; as a result, organizations such as food banks, have been overwhelmed in incredible way. Our goal is to collect 10,000 pounds of canned food for the Central Virginia Food Bank. 
Our plan of action…
Our goal is to raise this 10,000 pounds of canned food by Friday, September 25, 2009

How can you help?
1) You can join the movement.
2) Pray about getting your youth/young adult ministry at your church or your organization or business to start collecting food.
3) Set up a team, connect with us and let us know, we will help and train you.
4) Get a “HUGE” box and start collecting food (we have some if you need it)
5) Donate (Food and Money)
6) Spread the word to everyone you see, tell them about our website, theoutbreak.org. Which will launch on July, 1, 2009
